Miriam's Flan

For the Flan:
6 Large Eggs
3 cups Whole Milk
1/2 cup Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla

For the Caramel:
1/4 cup Sugar
4 drops of Water or Lemon Juice

Melt the 1/4 cup of sugar and water or lemon juice in a saucepan until it's a dark golden brown, then coat the bottom of a flan dish. Let this cool and harden.

Mix the flan ingredients together, pour into the flan dish, and have this sit in a hot water bath that goes up the side about 1 inch, then bake at 325ºF for about 1 hour. Cool completely then turn out the flan onto a plate.
